About HIGHWAY PLAYERS

Club Background

Hi!

Thanks for checking out the Highway Players website. We are a Delhi-based club for Royal Enfield bullets only. We often go on short rides, discovering the Delhi ramparts. What takes us there? Well, something as simple as a hearty breakfast and the sheer pleasure of cruising the roads on the Bullets we love.

We also go on long rides (pleasant weather's welcome, but we ride in December's cold and May's sun as well), exploring places only a few might have heard of and even fewer would have seen. Our bullets take us home to nature. The machines belong to us and we belong to the roads. These are usually weekend trips. These are times we leave the monotony of life in the big city behind and venture out — to the hills, to the forts and sometimes, to the jungles.

The most important thing about riding a bike is to have a good relationship with it and understand what it wants. We, the Highway Players, have a cool understanding with our bikes, which take us to various unexplored terrains, every now and then. From the beautifully rustic life of Leh-Ladakh to the enchanting lanes of Himachal and Uttrakhand, we are a group who proudly call ourselves Highway Players.

Just like you, we too share simple dreams of our future: a job, a happy, healthy family and a lovely long motorcycle ride every now and then. Actor Dax Shepard has rightly put our feelings in his words: “So if you're on the motorcycle, on the track you're not thinking at all about what's happening next week or tomorrow or anything. You're literally thinking about the turn you're setting up and there's something about that I find very cathartic and meditative.

Come, join us if your have Royal Enfield Bullet and a desire to see more than people who can't break free!

This is Parveen Kumar aka PK, admin of Highway Players (Royal Enfield Bullet Club). He is specialist in visual communication – graphic design in particular. He has worked in print media across Delhi NCR since 2005, associated with several leading publications. His assignments range from page designing and layouts to preparing logos, banners and similar print works. His vision for picturesque sceneries quickly turned what was hobby into passion when he took up photography in 2010. The creativity in his profession was an added adventure to his skills behind the lens. Hailing from the scenic Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh, no wonder the majestic Himalayas inspire his shots.
His passion for the Bullet is a different tale altogether. At a time when most youngsters would drooled over the sports bikes, PK's eyes fell on the high powered Royal Enfield. In 2007, he finally owned an Electra Bullet and has been riding ever since. In 2010, he decided to spread his passion for long journeys on the bike with fellow bikers and formed the Highway Players group.

Money Sharma aka Money. Member of core members team of Highway Players, Money is a photojournalist, in profession since 2003. He has worked with many national newspapers, magazines and wire agencies. Being a photojournalist and a nature lover, he once tried to ride the Bullet on the mountains and is lost in its beauty ever since. He enjoys a good balance between family, work and his passion for bike riding.

This is Yoginder Singh aka Yogi. Another member of the core team of Highway Players, Yogi was hooked to the Royal Enfield motorcycles ever since he rode it for the first time in 2010. The thump of the engine felt like a heartbeat to him. For the past two years, he is riding an imposing 500 cc forest green Bullet motorcycle that is practically his extension. He travelled to the grand mountains on Bullet, the journey being as exciting as the destination. Yogi is married and has been blessed with a daughter, who is his inspiration. Having done his schooling from Faridabad and graduation from MDU, Rohtak, Yogi hooked to motorcycles since completing his education. He is also avid trekker and has gone to Mana village, which is located ahead of Badrinath and is India’s last border village.
